List of Activites for Dec. 3-11. Stop the War Week

- Dec 4-11- (Saturday to Saturday) Boycott Holiday Shopping To Stop the War! We propose that from now on there can be no business as usual as long as the war and occupation continue. The system must be sent a message that a new and more determined phase of the antiwar movement is about to begin that will affect the day-to-day life of everyone. We cannot celebrate the holiday season while the criminal war continues - Dec.4-11 anti-war forces will protest in front of retailers and businesses, including Wal-Mart, Starbucks, and others to spread the message of the holiday boycott to stop the war.

- Friday, December 3 - Student Day of Action - teach-ins, walkouts, boycotts, protest

- Saturday, December 4 - No Draft No Way! Youth & Resistance Conference in New York City.

- Sunday, December 5, Indoor Solidarity Rally with Haiti in New York City

-Wednesday, December 8 - Stop Military Recruiting - Youth and anti-militarism activists are calling for December 8 as a nation-wide day to stop military recruiting by shutting down recruiting stations, stopping military recruiting in the schools, shutting down ROTC and JROTC, and engaging in counter-recruiting teach-ins and activities.

- December 9 - Anti-racist activists know that December 9 is the infamous anniversary of the arrest of Mumia Abu-Jamal and are planning activities on that date that connect the issues of racism and the war.

- Friday, December 10 - International Human Rights Day (last year the labor movement held protest rallies across the country with the theme "Workers' Rights' are Human Rights" This year we propose that the theme be "Workers rights Not War- is a human right".

- December 11 - Actions in support of the people of Palestine. (Dec. 11 is the date that UN Resolution 194, affirming the Right to Return, was adopted in 1948. Dec. 9 is the anniversary of the beginning of the first Intifada in 1987)
